Sometimes the design process can be confusing, so at Majestic Marketing and Design we aim to make things as easy and pain-free as possible. We know you have deadlines and want to stay organized and project manage in the most efficient way possible. Here’s the way it works.

First: We listen to your objectives and needs and discuss possible solutions. You may have a specific need in mind, or you may not be sure of the best way to approach it, or both. Sometimes there could be answers to your problem that you don’t even know about!  If we think there’s a more efficient solution, we recommend other alternatives and let you make the choice that’s best for you. This is also the point where we learn about your brand, your preferences, and any deadlines.

Second: After learning all we can about the project, we create a proposal. The proposal will restate your needs and goals and any time constraints. It will also outline how many hours we estimate we will need to complete the project, or whatever fixed rate we had previously discussed.

Third: Once the estimate is agreed upon, a contract is drawn up explaining terms and conditions of the specific project, or the proposal is signed and returned, and a down payment is collected.

Fourth: The process on our end always begins with research. We research the competition to see how we can make your company or organization stand out. We look over past efforts to see what worked and what didn’t. We test-drive color palettes, imagery, typography and layout to get the best results possible. Once we are satisfied that your project looks creative and will be effective, we finish a proof, paying close attention to detail and finalizing the design.

Fifth: At this point, we’ll send you a proof and request feedback on the design and content. We make the changes you request and send them back. We usually allow for 3-4 rounds of changes, hoping that you’ll make final decisions along the way about what needs to be tweaked.

Sixth: When the design is agreed upon, we’ll package the project for either print or launch, and send a final invoice.
